😱 Every day, a flock of crows gathered at the same window. No one understood why — until the residents dared to go inside.
In this old house, everything seemed ordinary: the stairs creaked, the light bulbs flickered, neighbors argued over trash. But for some time, people had begun to notice strange things.
Every morning — the same thing. On the third-floor windowsill, the crows sat. They cawed, jostled each other, flapped their wings as if waiting for a signal. They had been driven away dozens of times — in vain. They always returned, as if tied to something.
At first, it seemed like a joke, then — a bad omen. Rumor had it that an old woman lived in the apartment and fed the birds, but no one had seen her for a long time. At night, a faint flapping of wings could be heard — as if the crows never left.
One day, the residents decided to check. They knocked on the door — silence. Then a few of them went around the house and cautiously peeked inside through the window.
😨😲…And what they saw left them completely shocked.

Inside the apartment, there was silence. The air was heavy, smelling of tea and dust. On the table — a half-drunk cup of tea, neatly arranged newspapers, a folded blanket on the back of a chair.
Everything looked as if the owner was about to return from the next room at any moment.
— Strange… — whispered someone.
They exchanged glances and carefully opened the bedroom door.
On the bed, between neatly made pillows, lay an elderly woman. She seemed to be merely sleeping, but the deadly silence made the truth immediately clear. On the bedside table were glasses, an open book, and a plate with bread crumbs.
The crows seemed to return there every day — who knows, out of habit or some bird memory. Perhaps they were simply waiting for her, as before, when she would come to the window and toss them pieces of bread.
When the neighbors silently left the apartment, the familiar cawing was once again heard outside the window.
