In 2016, Caly Bevier made a strong impression on the audience when she appeared on America’s Got Talent as a cancer survivor at the age of 16.
At 15, she was diagnosed with a rare stage 3 ovarian cancer, but she fought hard and eventually managed to overcome the disease.
Her touching performance of “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten earned her Simon Cowell’s first Golden Buzzer award.
Caly came back to America’s Got Talent six years later to participate in the All-Stars show with the aim of furthering her career as a touring musician.
Her performance of the original song “Head Held High” received great praise from the judges, including Simon Cowell.
Simon looked back on when he first met Caly and was amazed at how far she has come.
He wished he could have shown her a glimpse of her future success, saying “You’re going to be healthy, you’re going to be brilliant, and you’re going to be a great songwriter, all those things.
Because it’s happened. It’s amazing!”
