😨😲 I was getting ready for work — the morning was like any other: coffee, rushed movements, the usual hurry. I reached for my shoes… and suddenly felt something move inside.
At first, I thought maybe an earring or a key had fallen in by accident, but the sound was strange — soft, alive.
I bent down, gently shook the shoe — and from inside, as if from a dark abyss, a snake slithered out. Thin, shiny, with green eyes staring straight at me. It didn’t attack — it just smoothly slid under the cabinet and disappeared.
I jumped back in terror and froze, unable to move. All the windows were shut, the door bolted. Where had it come from?
Later, when they caught it, the specialist assured me it was “just a common grass snake.” But I couldn’t get its cold stare and hissing sound out of my mind.
A week passed. I decided to throw those shoes away to forget that horror forever. But when I picked up the box and looked inside — my breath caught.
😱😱 At the bottom lay something that made me swear never to keep shoes in the house again…

At the bottom lay something that made me swear never to keep shoes in the house again…
I froze: under the box writhed dozens of tiny snakes, some had just hatched from their eggs, others were still curled inside their shells.
A chill ran down my spine, my heart clenched with fear.
I threw the box aside, covered my mouth with my hands, and called the specialist again.
This time they searched the whole house: closets, shelves, under the bed — everything, to make sure none of the little snakes had escaped.
After a long inspection, they concluded that the adult snake had probably entered the apartment through the ventilation system, where it was warm and quiet enough to lay eggs.
But even after the specialists left, I stood trembling in the empty apartment, still hearing a faint rustle… as if someone were watching me.
