When their expensive car ended up in our shop, my guys and I spent several hours bringing it back to perfect condition.
We worked carefully, putting in all our effort, and in the end the car looked flawless. I expected only one thing — that they would simply pay honestly for the work we had done.
But the moment payment came up, everything changed.
— “Do you seriously think we’re going to pay that kind of money to a man in a dirty jumpsuit? Do you even know who I am?” the man said mockingly.
The woman looked me up and down with disgust and coldly added:
— “Be grateful you even got to touch a car like this. And now you want money too?”
I calmly replied that my team had done its job and deserved to be paid.
The man just laughed.

They had no idea that their threats didn’t scare me at all. Because they had failed to understand the most important thing — standing before them was not just a mechanic, but the owner of the shop.
I silently walked over to the workbench, picked up a heavy steel sledgehammer, and headed toward their car.
At first, they just looked at each other in confusion.
But a second later, the shop echoed with the first deafening sound of metal smashing against metal.

— “Now you can take your car. It’s in the exact same condition you brought it here in. You don’t owe anything for the work.”
They said nothing. There was no arrogance or mockery left in their eyes — only shock and the realization that things had gone far too far.
Only later did they find out that the man they had thought was just an ordinary mechanic was actually the owner of the shop. But by then, there was nothing left to fix. Sometimes a few minutes of arrogance cost far more than the most expensive repair.
