My name is Kara, I’m 27 years old, and I work as a waitress at an upscale restaurant. That evening, I was serving in a private dining room where Vanessa Moretti was having dinner. She was the wife of one of the most dangerous men in the city.
I was clearing dishes behind a partition when I overheard her conversation with a man.
— Did you make sure everything was done? Vanessa asked.
— Yes. The brakes won’t work on the mountain road. Your husband won’t even understand what happened.
— Perfect! she laughed. Tomorrow, I’ll be a rich widow.
