They were simply walking along a forest trail. Little Sofia was collecting leaves and laughing the whole time, while her father Alex answered a work call. Beside them calmly walked a large German Shepherd named Tyson — the family’s favorite and the girl’s true friend.
At one moment, Sofia noticed a bright bird ahead and ran after it between the trees. Tyson suddenly jerked, slipped free from the leash, and rushed after her. At first Alex thought they would return in a moment, but after a few minutes he realized the forest had become far too quiet.
He called for his daughter again and again, but heard only the wind and rain. The tracks quickly disappeared in the mud, and the sun was already hiding behind the trees. In panic, the man called rescuers, because he understood the child would not last long.
Meanwhile, Tyson managed to find Sofia deep in the forest. The girl was sitting under a large tree, trembling from cold and exhaustion. When she saw the dog, she burst into tears and hugged him tightly, but she could go no farther. Her legs would not obey, her strength was gone, and everything around them was growing darker.
