Not so long ago, a dog from Voronezh, Russia was among all the world record holders. A pet of the Cane Corso breed named Kira was able to give birth to 19 puppies.
This is really a huge rarity. And therefore, when they hear such numbers, people do not even believe that this is real in principle.
According to the owners of the dog, the difficult labor lasted throughout the night. People did not expect such a huge number of puppies at all.
Moreover, these were the first births of Kira. And therefore, the owners were very much surprised, realizing that there would be many more animals in their house!
One of the 19 puppies died. But even this can be considered an excellent indicator. Indeed, as practice shows, the rest of the cases are far from the most pleasant and joyful.
And even more so, if we again take into account the fact that for the Cane Corso it was the first birth.
At the moment, all puppies are doing well enough. Just like Kira. The dog has already managed to move away from the difficult birth. She continues to live the same life, and the owners tried to surround the pet with a huge amount of love and care.
The same record was set in 2011. Then such a large offspring appeared in China from the Tibetan Mastiff. And already in 2015, 19 puppies were born to a Great Dane named Velma, and it happened in the USA.
Therefore, what Kira did can already be considered a certain feat.
The dog’s owners are glad that everything went well. They sincerely worried about the Cane Corso and did everything to get their pet in shape as quickly as possible. After all, the birth of 19 puppies is a real stress! And few people can tolerate it normally.
