It all started when I wandered into an old warehouse at work. It was filled with various tools, spare parts, and devices that hadn’t been used in a long time, but still remained in place.

I started going through the drawers, curiously inspecting their contents, and suddenly came across a strange object.

It looked like an old measuring instrument, with a metal handle and an octagonal head that spun easily. Something about it caught my attention, so I decided to figure out what it was.

I had to do some digging online to figure out its purpose. It turned out that this was a Magnetic Field Indicator, used by railway workers.

I was amazed at how far removed I was from this field, but the tool immediately became interesting to me. As it turned out, it helps detect magnetic fields created by electrical contacts on the railroads.

It was an important tool for ensuring safety on the railway tracks, which really surprised me.

And then, I began to imagine how this modest instrument helps prevent disasters on the railways by detecting faults in the electrical system and contact wires.

This small gadget, with its brass handle and spinning octagonal head, turned out to be much more significant than I could have imagined.

And although it was just one of many tools in the warehouse, at that moment, I realized how important every detail is for the safety and order of railway workers.
