I was still at her place when, smiling mysteriously, she said she had something for me.
And then she handed me this clear, ghost-like object that looked like either a phantom penguin or the imprint of an alien creature.
To the touch, it felt like melted glass — with bubbles, wavy edges, and a randomly warped shape.
“Try to guess,” she said, barely holding back laughter.
I turned it over, looked at it from every angle. It was hollow inside, with rippled sides and a narrow opening.
Maybe an ice mold? A decorative piece? Something… intimate? — I’ll admit, even that crossed my mind.
She laughed hysterically at my guesses — not a single one was close. In the end, I surrendered.
“Alright, tell me! Otherwise I won’t sleep tonight.”
