Hanna Rowntree lost her lovely cat. A black and white cat named Spanky ran away while his owners were on vacation. They searched for the pet for more than 1 day and traveled all over the city, but could not return him.
When Spanky disappeared, Hannah was only 12 years old, but he remained forever in her heart – and the girl decided to devote all her free time to helping animals. Once she was old enough, Hanna volunteered at a local shelter.
It was her 2nd shift at the Animal adoption center, and Hanna was hoping she could play with the adorable kittens. What she didn’t expect to meet her long-lost cat. She found Spanky.
The girl instantly drew attention to a unique black and white-colored cat, which was sitting in a far cage. She simply couldn’t believe her eyes – but it was definitely him.
The cat was lately taken to the shelter; he was not yet accustomed to the new place, and the workers had not yet begun to look for a new home for the cat. But it seemed that this was no longer necessary.
The shelter staff was also touched by Hanna’s story – it seemed so incredible. It took them a little investigation into how Spanky ended up in the shelter, and all the facts confirmed that this was indeed the same cat that disappeared 3 years ago.
Hanna and her family welcomed Spanky as a lost family member. Now the pet is already bathed in love, feels like a perfect master of the situation and behaves as if he never left.
