But the real reason for his arrest turned out to be completely different from what the passengers had expected.
When the police checked the man’s documents, they discovered that he had indeed previously worked as a cleaner at that station, but he had been fired just a few days before the incident. Moreover, after his dismissal, he had officially been forbidden from entering the subway’s staff-only areas.
That day, the man had come to the station to return his work uniform and collect some personal belongings that had been left in a staff room. However, when he saw the girl on the tracks, he forgot about every restriction and rushed to her aid.
That was precisely why he was arrested: he had entered the train operating area without authorization, putting not only his own life at risk but also endangering the operation of the entire station. According to subway regulations, such a violation carried a serious penalty.
But when the girl’s mother found out about this, she refused to remain silent.
