“Don’t eat that, Sheikh. Your wife put something in it,” whispered the six-year-old daughter of the maid just as the sheikh was about to take a bite of bread with butter. He did not believe the child, but when he asked his wife to taste the butter first and saw the smile disappear from her face, he understood: things were happening in his home that were far more terrible than he could ever have imagined. 😨

Sheikh Karim looked carefully at Emma. The girl often came to the palace with her mother, who worked there as a maid.

“Are you sure about what you saw?” he asked.

Emma nodded.

That night, she had gone to the kitchen to get some water and had seen the sheikh’s wife, Leila, there. They had been married for several years, and Karim trusted her completely.

According to the girl, Leila had taken out a small vial, crushed several pills, and mixed the powder into the butter that was served to her husband every morning.

“Did she see you?”

“No.”

Karim looked at the butter. It looked completely normal.

It was difficult for him to believe that the only woman he called his wife, and whom he intended to leave his entire fortune to one day, could wish him harm.

Emma said quietly:

“Then ask her to eat it first.”

At that moment, the door opened.

Leila entered the dining room.

“Why aren’t you having breakfast yet?” she smiled.

Karim calmly pushed the butter toward her.

“Try it first.”

Leila froze.

“Why?”

“Just try it.”

For several seconds, she stared at her husband and then suddenly pushed the plate away.

“I don’t want it. I don’t like butter.”

The smile disappeared from her face.

It was then that Karim realized for the first time that the six-year-old girl might be right.

But the real reason behind his wife’s actions turned out to be even more terrifying than the sheikh could have imagined.… 😱

“Don’t eat that, Sheikh. Your wife put something in it,” whispered the six-year-old daughter of the maid just as the sheikh was about to take a bite of bread with butter

Leila tried to smile.

“Karim, what kind of strange game is this? I simply don’t want any butter.”

The sheikh said nothing. He called the head of security and ordered him not to let anyone leave the palace and to have the dish with the butter immediately sent for testing.

Leila exploded:

“You believed a child more than your own wife?”

“If Emma was wrong, you have nothing to fear.”

After those words, Leila fell silent.

A few hours later, the results arrived. A powerful sleeping drug had indeed been found in the butter. At that dose, it could cause dangerous poisoning.

But Karim could not understand one thing: why did his wife need to do this?

He ordered security to check the camera recordings and Leila’s room.

That was where they found what explained everything.

In the wardrobe were copies of Karim’s documents, papers concerning his wealth, and plane tickets. On Leila’s phone, they also discovered a conversation with a man the sheikh had never seen before.

The messages made it clear that Leila had been preparing the plan for several months.

She knew that according to the documents, after her husband’s death she would receive a large part of his personal fortune. But the sudden death of a healthy man would raise too many questions.

“Don’t eat that, Sheikh. Your wife put something in it,” whispered the six-year-old daughter of the maid just as the sheikh was about to take a bite of bread with butter

So she planned to act gradually.

First, small doses of medication that would make Karim feel weak and sleepy. Then the dose was supposed to become much larger.

And when it was all over, Leila planned to sell part of the property and leave with her lover.

Karim read the messages several times.

The woman he trusted more than anyone else was waiting for his death.

When Leila was brought before him, she no longer denied the obvious.

“I’m tired of living by your rules,” she said. “I wanted to start a different life.”

“With my money?”

She said nothing.

Karim handed all the evidence they had found to the police and immediately began divorce proceedings.

But then he remembered Emma.

The girl was sitting beside her mother, frightened and waiting, wondering whether the sheikh would be angry with her for telling the truth.

Karim walked over to her and knelt beside her.

“Do you understand what you did today?”

Emma shook her head.

“You saved my life.”

He made sure that Emma’s mother would never again have to worry about her job or housing, and he paid for the girl to attend a good school and for everything she needed for her education.

Several months passed.

One morning, Karim was sitting at the same table again. Bread and butter were in front of him.

Emma came into the dining room with her mother.

The sheikh smiled and lifted a piece of bread:

“Can I have it today?”

The girl looked seriously at the plate and then burst out laughing:

“Today you can.”

And for the first time in a long while, Karim laughed too.

He had lost the woman he trusted, but thanks to a six-year-old child, he had preserved something that no fortune in the world could ever give back to him — his own life.
