This story was told to the world by a doctor named Jim Clark. His patient, five-year-old Lizzie, urgently needed a blood transfusion. Doctors realized that the girl’s best donor would be her twin brother.

Giving his sister his blood, the boy thought he was giving her life. But he accepted without saying a word. Of course, the doctors immediately assured him that he would not die.
