š³ Yesterday, while walking in my own garden, I spotted something truly unusual. At first, I thought it was just an old rope lying on the grass ā long, wavy, as if someone had left it there by accident. But suddenly, a doubt crept in: āWhat if itās a snake?!ā š
My heart started pounding. Instinctively, I took out my phone to capture the moment. š¬ Driven by curiosity (and a healthy dose of fear!), I decided to get closer. Each step felt risky, like I was about to face something truly dangerousā¦š
š§ When I got close, I was shocked! It wasnāt what I had imagined.
It wasnāt a snake or a ropeā¦š The answer left me speechless. More in the first comment šš
Right before my eyes, a long line of about 150 caterpillars was slowly crawling! They formed a perfectly aligned living chain, moving as one, tightly packed together, following an invisible path.
I never imagined witnessing such a scene ā and right in front of my house!
Why were they moving like that? Where were they going? These questions are still in my mind.
Some say itās a collective defense strategy against predators. Others believe they move together to better navigate or save energy ā the ones in front lead, and the rest simply follow.
And you? Have you ever seen anything like this? Where do you think they were headed?
