One decision — and his life changed forever.
The wrong steps and a single tattoo he got in his youth shaped the rest of his life. Now, that tattoo is what’s holding him back from starting over. But here’s what he looked like before he had ink on his face. 👇

His name is Mark Cropp, and his story is about much more than a tattoo.
He got the ink during one of the hardest periods of his life — while serving time in a correctional facility.
According to Mark, the idea came from his brother, and at the time, it felt like a symbol of strength and survival.
But once he was released, Mark quickly realized how much a past decision can make the future harder to rebuild.
Before prison, he looked completely different — in old photos, he’s a teenager with a clean face and a softer, more innocent look.
Life took a tough turn. He was left without a home and had to support his young family.
He doesn’t deny the mistakes he made, but today, he’s determined to move forward.
After sharing his photo online, job offers began to roll in. While the perfect opportunity hasn’t arrived yet, Mark remains hopeful. His dream? Stability — and becoming someone his loved ones can rely on.
He’s now considering removing the tattoo — not because he’s ashamed, but because he wants people to see the real him: someone who is growing, changing, and trying to become better.
