The little Brazilian girl called Mayah was born with a rare disorder called pibaldism. She is 2 years old and has had natural gray hair since birth.
This little girl’s story quickly went viral after her mother shared her photos on social media.
Piebaldism is a rare, congenital abnormality with pigmentation of the skin and hair that turns some areas whitish due to the lack of melanocytes that produce melanin.
Mayah’s mother, Talita Vieira, and some of her family members also have gray hair.
The mother is happy to have a little girl with a special feature like hers and even brags about their special white locks.
Mayah was born very healthy and this characteristic did not prevent her from growing up like an ordinary girl.
Her white streak in a mass of black hair makes her appearance incredibly ravishing.
The mother takes advantage of her daughter’s natural hair color to dress her up as famous people gaining popularity on social media.
Often, Mayah’s grandmother also joins them.
The mother shares their photos on Instagram and explains that several people with different particularities have contacted her to thank her for helping them accept themselves as they really are.
“I want my little girl to have good memories of the way she looks. I want her to accept being a superhero. Let’s accept what makes us different,” says Talita.
