Graham and Janet met at the age of 17 on the Isle of Man. Their relationship started as a friendship but quickly became serious. Janet decided to share the truth about her infertility with Graham when she realized how much she cared for him.

Due to a rare condition, Janet never had menstrual cycles, and doctors told her she could never conceive. “I want to be with you, and if we don’t have kids, that’s fine,” Graham told her.

At 24, they got married. Shortly after, doctors gave them hopeful news: Janet still had a chance to become a mother. In the 1980s, they decided to try every option. But after 12 attempts, there was still no success.

Big News: “You’re pregnant, ma’am.”

“Let’s try one more time. If it doesn’t work, we’ll consider adoption,” Janet said. And then a miracle happened. At the age of 31, Janet discovered she was eight weeks pregnant.

Janet’s doctor shocked her with the news: she was expecting six babies. Doctors advised her to remain hospitalized immediately.

“An Unbelievable Delivery and Janet’s Courage”

On November 18, 1983, in her 31st week, a C-section was performed. With the help of seven medical teams, all six babies—girls—were delivered safely. Janet’s first thought upon waking up was her children, who were all alive and weighed between 1.5 and 2 kilograms.

“Daily Life of a Big Family”

Janet and her children returned home a month later. The government sent a team of nurses to assist them. For the first few months, they only managed a few hours of sleep a night.
