Instead of opting for a costly, move-in-ready home, the couple chose an older space with an amazing view and an affordable price tag. This decision allowed them to save a considerable amount of money and customize the apartment to reflect their taste and lifestyle.
Naturally, skepticism was high. Relatives and friends thought they were making a huge mistake moving into such an outdated, dilapidated apartment that needed extensive work and investment. But the couple ignored the doubts and brought in a designer to bring their vision to life.
The 56-square-meter apartment now boasts a modern, airy feel. The corridor is painted sky blue, which enhances the light and visually expands the space. White patterned tiles cover the floor, complemented by a small bench and a full-length mirror.
The kitchen continues the blue-and-white theme, with orange trim that separates two wall colors. A corner set with gray-olive facades and square white tiles with dark grout make up the backsplash. In the center stands a round dining table with chairs.
The living room, which connects to the bedroom, features a rich blue sofa, a coffee table, and a spacious bed. High windows with stylish beige curtains provide plenty of natural light, while a comfortable armchair and a modern chandelier add a touch of elegance.
They also designed a children’s room, providing a narrow bed with storage underneath for extra practicality. The bathroom, though not massive, is equipped with a standard bathtub, a modern sink, and a round mirror.
