The parents of the Hensel sisters were hesitant to have them undergo a separation surgery and therefore chose not to alter their current state.

When Abby and Brittany graduated from school, they each pursued their own education and career path.

Today, the sisters are elementary school teachers, each having obtained their own teaching license.
