😱 It all started early in the morning. I was awakened by a piercing, almost hysterical scream. It wasn’t the usual whimper of a hungry baby. That scream carried real pain… my child’s pain.
😨👨👩👧 At first, I thought it was just a rough morning. It happens. Babies cry often: wet diaper, want to be held, hungry. Nothing serious, I told myself. I fed him, held him close, sang lullabies… but nothing helped.
With every hour, his crying only got louder. It was as if he was trying to say something through that scream, like he was calling for help. And I — I didn’t understand what was wrong. Fear began to rise in me like a cold wave.
A bit later, I couldn’t take it anymore. I decided to take off all his clothes — to check if something was bothering him. When I unbuttoned his onesie, my heart stopped.

There were scratches on his delicate skin. Real ones. Redness, marks, some with dried blood… I was speechless. How?! From where?! I gently touched the inside of the onesie — and quickly pulled my hand back.
Inside, along the seams, under the fabric, I felt thin but stiff, almost metallic threads. They were sharp. Prickly. Like wire hidden in the clothing.
I had bought that onesie just a few days ago. From a well-known store. 100% cotton, reliable brand. I picked the best, thinking I was doing the right thing… But inside that “safe” piece of clothing, a danger was hiding.
Tears, panic, rushing to the hospital. The doctors examined my son right away. Thankfully, nothing serious — just surface wounds. But even they were shocked. “How is this possible in baby clothes?” they asked. There was no answer.
I filed a police report. A case has been opened. An investigation is underway — who allowed this to happen? I don’t know if I’ll ever get an answer.
But I know one thing: I don’t want any other mother to go through what I did. That’s why I’m sharing my story — as a warning.
Check the clothing. All of it. Even the new. Even the “safest.” Sometimes, danger hides where we least expect it…
