A few minutes later, Daniel Carter stepped into the subway car. His loud behavior and confident smile immediately drew attention.
As soon as he noticed the woman, he began persistently flirting with her, convinced that he would quickly impress everyone around him.
The woman, however, refused to engage in conversation. She simply looked away indifferently and did not respond to a single word he said.

The color drained from his face. Just moments earlier, he had felt like the winner of the situation. Now he realized how foolish he must have looked in the eyes of everyone around him.

The woman calmly accepted her documents, looked him straight in the eyes, and, without the slightest trace of irritation, said that respect for others should not begin only after learning their position or job title—it should be shown from the very first moment you meet them.
After saying those words, she turned around and walked away without adding anything else.
