When I asked my grandmother to explain, she looked at the item in surprise and remembered that it was a family artifact brought by her parents from Spain many years ago.
âItâs a Spanish wine vessel, itâs called a porrĂłn,â she explained. When it was in the hands of experienced Spaniards, it was used to drink wine directly from the spout without pouring it into a glass.
The legend says it was often used during celebrations and large banquets when people would sit in a circle and pass the vessel to each other so no one would miss their portion.
I was amazed at how interesting and unusual this object was in our family. As it turned out, my grandparents used it for family gatherings, and it was not only a part of Spanish culture but also a kind of tradition passed down from generation to generation.
This discovery was a real surprise, and I realized that some things can tell much more than they appear at first glance.
