This apartment belongs to a talented young woman working as a professional decorator. A few years ago, she and her husband purchased it, and to say the previous owner neglected the place is an understatement. Determined to revitalize it, they decided to give it a fresh look with a limited budget.
Since funds were tight, the owner took the reins, designing the project and carrying out most of the renovation herself. The result was a cozy, functional, and stylish living space.
One of the first changes made was expanding the entrance area by shifting the kitchen’s doorway to the living room. They also opted for parquet flooring throughout, and painted the walls in a soft milky hue. A clever storage solution was implemented near the entrance, maximizing space.
Instead of a standard door, they installed hinged doors to the living room, allowing natural light to flood the hallway. Additionally, a large mirror opposite the living room visually opened up the space, reflecting more light into the corridor.
As we enter the spacious living room, it’s easy to see that the same light and inviting tones continue. The right side features a comfortable sofa, with a TV area facing it.
By the window, a cozy reading nook was created with a blue armchair and an open bookcase, which also housed an antique sewing machine inherited from her grandmother.
The kitchen features a gas setup, so a sliding partition was added to separate the dining area. The corner kitchen unit, painted in milky shades, was designed to maximize storage. Some cabinet doors were fitted with glass inserts, helping to keep the space feeling light and airy.
In the bedroom, light green wallpaper adorned the walls, featuring a delicate geometric spruce pattern. The focal point of the room is the master bed, featuring a plush headboard for added comfort.
The renovation truly brought this once-neglected apartment to life, transforming it into a space that reflects both functionality and personality! 😍
