I picked up a woman on a deserted road, but soon she started seducing me and suggested stopping at the nearest motel. I agreed, not knowing that instead of passion, a nightmare awaited me.šØš±
I was driving down a dark road when, in the headlights, I saw her ā a slender figure at an empty stop. Around, not a soul, only the wind blowing dust along the roadside. I slowed down, even though I usually donāt.
She introduced herself as Nicole. She said she had taken the wrong bus, that the last run had already left, and that her phone battery was almost dead.
There was confusion in her voice, and at first, I saw only a frightened girl. I offered her a ride, turned up the heat, and tried to joke to lighten the mood.
But after a while, I felt a change. Nicole started looking at me more often through the mirror, slowly adjusting her hair, holding her gaze longer than necessary. There was something playful, almost teasing, in her smile.
ā I feel uncomfortable, ā she said softly. ā I donāt like feeling indebted.
I waved it off, saying it was nothing. Yet she moved closer, her voice becoming quieter and lower.
ā Maybe I can thank you another way? I donāt like staying in debt. At the next intersection, thereās a small cozy motelā¦
My heart began to race. I was a free man, owed nothing to anyone. And she was damn attractive.
I felt everything inside me mix ā reason and sudden temptation, yet I gave in to her charm.
šØšØIf only I had known that in half an hour I wouldnāt be met with her passionate embrace, but with something I was completely unprepared for ā and that would turn this day into the worst nightmare of my life.
Continuation in the first comment.šš
I turned at the intersection as she said. The motelās neon sign blinked in the dark, the parking lot looked almost empty.
Nicole confidently gave the room number, went to the front desk herself, and quickly checked in ā I was still amazed at how skillfully she handled everything.
We went upstairs. She laughed as if it were all a light adventure without consequences. I opened the door, stepped inside⦠and at that moment everything collapsed.
Behind me, the door slammed shut. Two men entered the room ā strong, with cold eyes. One shoved me in the chest, the other immediately twisted my arms. It all happened in seconds, without screams or unnecessary words, as if it were a long-practiced scheme.
Nicole no longer smiled at me like in the car. She stood aside, calm and detached, as if I were just another item on the list.
They took the money, watch, phone, and truck keys. A blow to the back of my head ā and darkness consumed me.
Later, I woke up in an empty parking lot. No car, no her, no the two men.
Only then did I realize I had become the victim of a banal but perfectly executed trap. And that turn at the intersection became the most fateful turn of my life.
