I arrived home late that evening, tired and with my head full of work, and the first thing I saw in the yard was that strange object my neighbors had left there. 🤔 😵

It looked like a relaxation chair, but something about it didn’t add up: it had a hole in the seat, and behind it I could see a motor or some kind of hidden mechanism.

There was also a cable sticking out, ready to be plugged in. I had never seen anything like it before, and my curiosity immediately kicked in.

At first I tried to rationalize it: “It’s probably a modern massage chair,” I thought.

But the hole in the seat didn’t fit that idea.

Maybe some kind of aerotherapy device, or a strange yoga accessory… the more I looked at it, the stranger my theories became.

I couldn’t resist and decided to search for it on the Internet. I spent quite some time reading forums, looking at photos, and watching videos about strange inventions. And then, finally, I discovered the truth.

Finally, I discovered the truth behind that strange chair and I could hardly believe it.

It turned out that it wasn’t just a weird piece of furniture or a yoga device: it was a steam bath for the pelvic area, a heat treatment that sometimes includes herbs and is used to relieve inflammation in female organs.

So my neighbors were actually using it! They would sit on that strange chair, let the steam do its work… and then simply threw it out on the street as if nothing had happened.

Now I feel torn: on one hand, it’s good to know it had a medical purpose; on the other hand, every time I see them I won’t be able to help remembering that scene and laughing at how unusual it was.

The image of that chair abandoned on the sidewalk has stayed in my mind.

I would have never imagined coming across something like that in everyday life. And I wonder, have you ever heard of something like this?
