He wasn’t a top student, but his sense of humor stood out early on. His classmates loved his parodies and playful energy.
His vivid imagination and mischievous spirit often got him in trouble. Once, he was thrown out of a tailor’s workshop for throwing pins – an early hint at the comedic genius he would become.
Before finding his true calling, he worked a variety of jobs: courier, draftsman, accountant – none of them truly fulfilling. Music eventually opened the door to the stage.
As a skilled jazz pianist, he performed in Paris bars, charming audiences. Then came film – and the rest is history.
