The idea to renovate my old kitchen came after I visited every store in town without finding what I was looking for. What I wanted was something original, different from everything you usually see! 🛠️
So, after taking one last look at my kitchen, I decided it still had potential and that I could turn it into a real gem. 👇
After browsing many websites without finding anything suitable, I decided to create something myself — inexpensive and unique. 👇
But what I didn’t know was exactly how to start. The idea came to me totally by chance when I was strolling through the market and stumbled upon a wallpaper stand. It was exactly what I needed!
I bought wallpaper (the simplest, paper ones), wallpaper glue, paint, varnish, brushes, and a roller.
I started the makeover by carefully cleaning the entire surface and degreasing it. Ah, and if you’re interested, here’s what my kitchen looked like before:
On the outside, I applied two coats of black paint:
And on the inside, apple green paint. The shelves were painted black and coated with varnish:
Once everything was dry, I tackled the wallpaper. The pattern of the wallpaper consisted of four sheets, just enough to cover each cabinet door. However, the sheets were larger, so I had to cut them.
After pasting and letting the wallpaper dry, I applied two coats of varnish.
In the end, here’s what it looked like:
Everyone who comes to my house stops in front of the kitchen and asks where I bought it! After telling them I made it myself, they stare at it for a long time and repeat that it can’t be true!
Everyone loves my kitchen. And I love it too! How about you?
What matters is that I got exactly what I wanted — A KITCHEN LIKE NO OTHER!
I’m very curious to hear your thoughts, and I thank you in advance for your votes!
