When Deputy Sheriff Ryan Weiner responded to a call about a domestic dispute in the Denver area, he was confronted with a touching situation.
Two hungry young boys were left without food due to the behavior of their legal guardian.
The teens were in the care of their paternal grandmother, 71-year-old Vicki Green. During the argument, her partner decided to harm her family by depriving them of food.
“He ate the last two hot dogs in the house, which were supposed to be for the boys, and just made them sit there and watch while he ate them,” Weiner said, according to WBTV. .
“As a father, as a parent and just as a good person, it seemed so vengeful and cruel. »
After learning what had happened, the deputy sheriff could not leave the family without help. He went to a local store and bought several bags of groceries to replenish their kitchen supplies.
Weiner admitted that he wasn’t usually used to doing this sort of thing, but in this case, he felt the strength and determination to help.
Vicki was extremely grateful for the officer’s kindness. His kind acts even made him cry with gratitude.
