A married couple recently became the proud new owners of this run-down, neglected apartment. Despite its poor state, the family was drawn to its affordable price and beautiful view.
Deciding to take the risk, they purchased it, and it turned out to be a decision they never regretted. The apartment covers 56 square meters, and although the work ahead seemed long and challenging, the couple was determined to make it work.
Transforming the Entrance Area: The entrance area floor was covered with porcelain tiles that mimic light wood. The walls were painted in a neutral gray shade, creating a clean, fresh feel.
A small chest of drawers and a chair were placed near the entrance. Instead of a passageway, they decided to create a dressing room, which now houses outerwear, a utility unit, and even a washing machine.
A Tiny But Functional Kitchen: Though the kitchen is small—less than 6 square meters—it’s packed with functionality. The floor is covered with porcelain stoneware, with a warm floor function underneath.
A corner kitchen set with white facades was installed, and the backsplash is made up of white tiles that imitate brickwork. The countertop is made of oak, adding a touch of natural beauty.
Creating an Accent Wall and Reflecting Light: The wall behind the TV was designed to be an accent wall, decorated with laminate. On the opposite wall, a mirror panel made of small squares was hung.
It reflects natural light beautifully and makes the space feel much larger.
Cozy Bedroom and Kids’ Room: Since the bedroom is small, only the essentials were added: a bed with a soft headboard in the center and a closet to the right for storage.
In the children’s room, there’s a crib, storage spaces for toys, and a small desk, making it both functional and cozy.
Bathroom and Toilet Combo: The bathroom and toilet were combined into one space. The walls and floor were tiled with white and porcelain tiles that imitate wood. To maintain a clean, sleek look, the counter was cleverly hidden behind the tiles.
This apartment was once a rundown shell, but with a little creativity and effort, it was transformed into a modern and stylish living space that anyone would be proud to call home!
