Marcel LeBrun, a millionaire based in Eastern Canada, has gone viral for his heroic effort to build 99 “tiny houses” to help fight homelessness.
The multi-millionaire is believed to have sold his business for an eight-figure sum and decided to put $4 million of that money to good use.
The city of Fredericton in New Brunswick has at least 1,800 people who found themselves homeless for at least one day in 2022 according to the CBC.

LeBrun has invested a lot of money in developing what he calls the “12 Neighbors” gated community, which will eventually include 99 tiny homes for people looking to get back on their feet.

They have space for a kitchen, a small bed area and a bathroom, as well as a front terrace and solar panels on the roof.

But the most important thing in the fight against homelessness is putting a roof over someone’s head and ensuring they are safe and warm.

After about 70 of the 99 tiny homes were built, the 12 Neighbors community secured an additional $12 million in government grants to help them cross the finish line.
