😨I still can’t get over what my child saw in a crack in the wall of our house.
My son, while playing in the yard, noticed something on the house wall — a strange little lump, as if hidden between the panels.
At first, I didn’t pay attention, thinking: just dirt or a spider web. But when the child carefully tried to touch it, I stopped him right away — a feeling of unease wouldn’t leave me. What if it was dangerous?😱
😵Gathering my courage, I moved closer to take a better look at the mysterious object. I gently poked it with a stick and felt it was soft to the touch. It seemed like it could be a piece of cloth or moss, but why would such a thing be inside a concrete crack?
After several attempts, it finally fell out, and I froze when I realized what it was…😲

And here’s the real surprise — that lump turned out to be a long thread, similar to twisted cotton fiber, about 25–30 centimeters long.
It turns out this is a special material used for ventilation and to drain moisture from cracks, to prevent dampness and mold inside the wall.
I would never have thought that behind such an inconspicuous crack there could be a whole engineering trick.
This unexpected little guest from inside the wall reminded me that even ordinary things around us can hide amazing secrets.
Now I look at little details in a completely different way — because sometimes they are the ones that tell the most fascinating stories.
