When gang crime sparked off a group of concerned fathers at this Louisiana high school announced “not on our watch”.
These caring dads were concerned about their teens’ future at school and also in the big life.
So, they decided to create a firm union last year to bring love and peace to their Southwood High School.
They came up with the idea after the school administration informed one of the fathers, Craig Lee, that gang tensions were ascending.
As Craig Lee was a businessman and a community activist he had a huge network to connect with and try to prevent the risky tension.
So, the “dads on duty” organized a 4-hour urgent session and decided to do radical steps on campus.
As CBS has announced, the activist dads mentioned that the best persons to look after their kids were of course who? Themselves.
Around 40 men split up into 6-person squads with 2 shifts on campus every day.
Though all of them were busy with their jobs, they sacrificed their schedules and commitments.
Soon, after these brave and strict dads appeared on the campus area fights and street crimes dramatically decreased.
The gang battles have noticeably declined thanks to the concerned and generous fathers who made the area a safer place for students.
