Lauren Manners has dedicated her entire life to assisting stray animals by providing medical care and finding them new homes.
However, during her pregnancy, she decided to take a temporary break from volunteering due to her concerns.
The animals that she fostered were usually sick and needed special care, for which she now did not have time.
One day, Manners and her husband came across a pregnant cat who had been injured and was lying on the side of the road.
Manners related to the cat’s condition, as they were both in their final stages of pregnancy.
Despite her hesitation, Manners and her husband decided to take the cat home and provide care for her until she gave birth.
The veterinarian examined the cat and prescribed the necessary treatment for her.
And then Maners, along with her husband, took the cat to her place.
Manners and the injured cat began spending a lot of time together, bonding over their shared experience of pregnancy.
The time finally arrived for Manners to give birth, and when she returned home with her newborn daughter Kylie, the injured cat, now named Dove, also had offspring.
Manners said it’s possible that the two babies were born around the same time.
As they grew and gained strength, the young ones developed an interest in each other.
And a few months later, when the kittens finally got stronger, the spouses added them and Dove into good hands.
