The Shvandt family in Michigan is quite extraordinary as they have 14 sons.
The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shvandt, have grown accustomed to the fact that the mother only gives birth to boys.
This has caused them to be frequently featured in local news articles due to the large number of sons they have.
As a way of coping with this, the couple has made jokes about it and even named their youngest son Shiboyegen, meaning “she is again a boy” in reference to an Indian ritual meant to ensure the birth of a girl, but if it failed, the shaman would recite “boy again”.
However, their family was eventually blessed with a daughter, Maggie, who is 28 years younger than her oldest brother.
Taylor, the mother, said that due to the large number of children in the house, it can be chaotic at times but she hopes that Maggie will bring some balance to their daily lives.
Despite the unusual circumstances, the Shvandt family is a loving and unique family who have learned to accept the unexpected and find happiness in the chaos of life.
