Jennifer Angèle lives in Canada.
Lately, her youngest son Sawyer was the only boy in his class who hadn’t been invited to a classmate’s birthday party.
Jennifer didn’t feel well when she saw her son being bullied by his classmates. She made the decision to support her son.
He wrote an open letter addressed to the boy’s parents. The woman posted the letter on her Facebook page. Her son was born with Down syndrome and she is continually forced to watch as other children try to avoid her son.
“I fully understand that this is not a mistake, but a considered decision on your part,” writes the distraught mother in her open letter.
The entire class, 22 people, had been invited to the birthday party. Only Jennifer’s son did not receive the invitation.
According to the mother, her son has never had any problems with his classmates. He is a very nice guy and tries to make friends with everyone.
So Jennifer is convinced that the boy was not invited to the birthday party simply because he stood out from the others.
Jennifer’s letter moved everyone:
“I’m sure if you knew more about people with this condition, you wouldn’t have made such a decision.” In her letter, the mother tried to explain that her son is like other children, he sees life like other children.
They have the same requirements and desires, love to communicate, make friends and have goals. Sawyer has never been invited to parties. The worried mom very much regrets that she did not tell relatives about this incident earlier.
The letter was read by hundreds of thousands of people and was widely circulated in RS.
As a result, the little one received an exclusive invitation to a birthday party and made himself the happiest child in the world.
