Jim’s grandparents left the hot South of the United States for Tennessee, where they bought a farm. The grandson used to visit them every summer.
He spent a lot of time with his grandfather, who loved hunting and collected guns. The grandmother also had a collection, and the child often saw her cleaning her collection of rare coins.
But time passed, and the grandparents left this world, and Jim forgot about the collections. After the loss of the grandparents, Jim’s father became the owner of the house.
And when the father passed away, Jim, already an adult, became the heir to the Tennessee farm.
Jim was a businessman and, therefore, had no intention of leaving the city to take care of farming. So, he decided to sell the land.
But first, he wanted to check the condition of the house and get the estate in order before selling it. With his wife, Jim went to the farm. The house was in a deplorable condition, cluttered with old items and dusty.
In the closet under the stairs, the couple lifted the old dusty carpet and discovered a safe. The man had to call a locksmith to open the old lock.
An unexpected sight greeted them. Several silver bars were hidden in the safe, along with rare coins, and Jim remembered his grandmother’s collection.
There were also jewelry and many dollar bills, but the money had suffered due to a broken pipe in the past.
So, the man remembered his grandfather’s gun collection and began to search for it. He found the hiding place within a few days.
The weapons were hidden under a table that couldn’t be moved. Jim removed the panel and found rare guns and one-dollar bills highly appreciated by collectors.
Jim thought he was lucky because if he had decided to sell the property without preparation, he would have lost all this fantastic inheritance.
