Mark Cropp, a 19-year-old New Zealander, attracted international attention after posting a job advert on Facebook.
He has a tattoo on his jaw that says “DEVAST8,” obtained while in prison.
Cropp’s brother created the tattoo to make him appear strong after he was jailed for a series of violent acts.
The brothers were supposed to get a modest tattoo, but got caught while drinking homemade alcohol, made by fermenting apples, sugar and bread.
Cropp received several job offers after his job posting went viral.
But he is still looking for the ideal one that would allow him to buy a car and support his family.
From photos leaked online, it can be seen that Cropp had a baby face before the tattoo.
He was sentenced to 17 years for violent robbery, escaping capture and assault with a weapon.
Cropp pleaded guilty to the charges, explaining that he committed the crimes to support himself and his pregnant girlfriend after her parents kicked them out of the house.
Cropp wants to remove the tattoo eventually, but admits it’s difficult because his brother gave it to him and it has personal value to him.
However, he believes that removing the tattoo is best for his future and can be a source of support for his family.
Cropp said he has learned from the mistake and believes people should not be judged based on the tattoos on their face.
But he is aware that this will continue until he takes action.
