😞 Every day, a sad dog came to the church. He would quietly sit in a corner and listen to the prayers. One day, the priest, curious about the dog’s daily visits, decided to find out why — and what he discovered left him deeply moved.
After the service, he approached the dog, knelt beside him, and gently stroked his rough fur. The dog sighed and looked toward the altar, as if remembering something.
On the old, worn-out collar, the priest noticed a small metal tag. It read: “Bim. If you’re reading this — I’m no longer here. Thank you for being my friend. — Anna.”

That same day, the priest asked the congregation if anyone remembered a woman named Anna.
They told him that Anna used to come regularly — always with that same dog. They would sit on the last pew, and during prayer, she would place her hand on his head.
A year earlier, Anna had passed away after a long illness. Since her funeral, Bim had started coming alone — always sitting in the same spot, as if still waiting for her.
The priest was touched. From that day on, he left a blanket and a bowl of water for the dog every morning. During his sermons, he often spoke of loyalty and love — even from a dog’s heart.
Several months passed. One day, Bim didn’t show up. They found him asleep forever under the pew — in the exact spot where he had waited for his owner. He was buried next to Anna, under the tree behind the church.
Since then, a plaque has been placed on that pew:
“This was Bim’s spot — a loyal friend and a true example of love. May his soul rest in peace beside the one he waited for until his final breath.”
