Nick Edwards, a father of two, was surprised when he showed up on Britain’s Got Talent with his wife, expecting a night out without the kids.
But to her surprise, she saw her 4-year-old daughter, Callie, and her 3-year-old daughter, Savannah, present with their grandmother, Tracey.
Unknown to him, his mother had entered him in the competition, thinking he would never have the initiative to do it on his own.
When Nick’s family took the stage, they couldn’t hide their amazement, exclaiming: “But it’s my mother’s fault, you’re kidding!”
The producers handed Nick his guitar, brought by his family that day, and asked him to perform a song they had seen on his social media account.
The 35-year-old father confessed to the judges that he lacks self-confidence and has stopped performing in front of people.
Nerves on the edge, Nick dedicated his performance to Ernie Halter’s song “Daddy’s Little Girl,” in honor of his daughters.
Her flawless performance left the judges and audience in awe.
Even the host of the show, Declan Donnelly, father of a 3-year-old girl, couldn’t hold back his emotions.
