In February 2015, Tara Montgomery agreed to take in an 18-month-old boy named Michael Brown.
She has since raised him as her own, along with her daughters. Initially, there were no plans for adoption, it was expected that Michael would eventually be reunited with his biological mother.
However, in the end, her parental rights were terminated.
Tara Montgomery, the adoptive mother of Michael Brown, said in an interview with the Huffington Post, “I am a single mother and did not consider the option of adoption at first.
But Michael changed my plans. I felt that he was part of our family from the very beginning. In the morning, he wakes up, comes up to me, and says ‘Mom, I’m so happy.’”
