The Brazilian man called Francisco Santana Filho had been selling ice cream in front of a school in Crato for forty years.
The 68-year-old Brazilian was illiterate and could neither read nor write.
And now, when he finished his day, he would go home to eat something and return to school for his lessons.
His teacher was very unique, as she was only seven years old and taught him to read and write.
As soon as Barbara discovered that Francisco, known as Zezinho, was illiterate, she became his friend and began giving him lessons.
Although this story started in 2017 and now Barbara was nine years old, her teacher decided to share the story on social media.
In this regard, Francisco told a local media that the little girl is his teacher. “She is a very nice, sweet and special little girl,” the man said.
Barbara’s teachers say that she is a very sensitive girl and that since she started teaching Francisco, she has revised her own lessons while teaching him.
By now, Francisco already knew the alphabet and could read and write. The next challenge was to teach him mathematics too, so that he could continue to deepen his knowledge.
