— Put it down. You’re scaring the real customers, — she said loudly, making sure everyone could hear.
The boutique went still. No one moved, the perfume bottles hung motionless in people’s hands. The woman didn’t answer. She just looked — calm, confident, with a strange strength in her eyes.
The manager smirked and continued almost with delight:
— Lost your way? Or are you filming a show for Instagram?
No one intervened. Even the security guard pretended to study the floor. Then — a sharp sound. Slap. The manager hit her hand.
