In today’s world, we think that appearance is a very important thing. Every individual, especially the female part of humanity, tries to appear impeccable.
People want to leave the house looking fashionable, with neatly styled hair and manicured hands.
The heroine of our story, Lisa Dewey is a 36-year-old English woman from Pattishall in Northamptonshire.
Lisa likes her appearance to be perfect and especially her hands to be well-groomed and her nails manicured.
The woman had been applying gel to her nails for years and spent a lot of time at the beautician. These friends and relatives always admired her manicure.
But once, after getting a manicure, Lisa felt like she almost couldn’t move her hands or close them. And that was not all. The woman’s nails began to inflame and peel off.
The woman quickly went to the doctor and it turned out to be due to a bacterial infection caused by the gel applied to her nails.
And now she almost can’t perform simple movements. Lisa is undergoing treatment, but she is afraid she will not recover in order to return to her job.
“I couldn’t imagine this could ever happen. It all happened at once.
I was even afraid of losing a finger, but fortunately I already feel some improvement,” Lisa says on the social network.
She writes that women should be careful, because such a situation can happen to anyone.
