Many children cherish warm memories of time spent with their fathers: fishing at the lake in the morning, attending daytime or evening baseball games around the kitchen table, discussing the day gone by.
Unfortunately, for some children it is not possible to enjoy such moments due to the constant busyness of their fathers, who work constantly and do not participate in the daily joys of family life.
Derrick Calpepper doesn’t want his children to find themselves in a situation like this.

In 2015, when Derrick’s wife was away on business, he decided to share news with her about what was happening at home with their three children by creating videos.
On the surface, it’s just a cute moment between father and daughter, as he follows his daughter Lisa’s step-by-step instructions for styling her hair before church.
It’s impossible not to smile when you hear him cheering you on, saying things like, “You’re almost done, you’re doing great!” »

This is nice for Derrick to hear, because why should only children need encouragement? In this family, everyone supports each other.
However, behind this fatherly moment lies an important message that Derrick hopes to spread to fathers everywhere.
On his Facebook page, The Dynamic Duo Morning Show, he wrote: “FATHERS are necessary in the lives of their children in every society around the world. Reports say we are absent, not present.
This page aims to motivate, support and inspire FATHERS to be even more active in their children’s lives. »

He himself mainly grew up under the guidance of his mother and family members, including uncles and grandfather, who helped him and steered him in the right direction, instilling the importance of family values.
These lessons accompanied him into his adult life and served as an example for his family relationships.
“I’ll do the dishes.” I’ll do the cleaning. I will do whatever is necessary. If I have the opportunity to help, I will,” he says of his approach to family responsibilities.
What about taking care of hair early in the morning? “It’s something I had to learn because it was necessary for my wife,” he adds.
