A single mother agreed to marry a boy, but she didn’t know he would propose twice that day.
Cassandra Reshar and Grant Tribbett were lucky enough to meet through social media and have been dating for nine months. The man knew from the beginning that Cassandra was a single mother.
“Honestly, it was one of the many qualities that touched my heart,” the boy said in an interview.
He asked his significant other, along with his 5-year-old daughter Adriana, to dress up together for breakfast at a Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Cassandra felt something strange about asking him to dress up for the restaurant, since she and her daughter always dressed up.
“My little girl and I got dressed up and he took us to a restaurant,” the 26-year-old wrote. «I was a little embarrassed by this need to dress up and I started to get nervous.»
After the restaurant, Grant took them to the reservation and led them to a very beautiful place with a wooden bridge. Then the boy got down on one knee and asked about marriage. Of course Cassandra said yes!
However, what her lover did next surprised her even more.
“Grant turned to make an almost similar proposal to my daughter,” the girl recalls. “He asked Adriana if he could be her father, and promised to take care of her and love her all her life.”
Adriana replied: “Thank you”, but apparently the man was expecting an unequivocal yes or no. And Adriana immediately replies: «Yes! I’ll finally have a dad!”
To seal the deal, the man gave the mother a ring and the daughter a necklace.
