Zebra tries to overcome the stormy river in front of the eyes of her little foal

The herd of zebras living in the Serengeti Park constantly gallops across vast territories from place to place, hiding from predators and exploring new meadows.

On the way, they come across real labyrinths of rivers, and if some are easy to overcome, others become a serious challenge.

In this video, a whole drama was played out in a few minutes, and it all began with the fact that a herd of zebras approached another river. At the head of the herd is the zebra named Shani.

She is followed by her foal and the rest of the group, and the stallion Punda closes the column. One of the rivers does not look too wide, but it has a turbulent current.

It is not clear whether the herd will be able to wade her, and Shani bravely rushes into the water to check it out. Streams of water immediately carry it downstream, and the foal and the rest of the family group can only watch helplessly from the shore.

Punda does not let Shani out of sight, even when she is carried further along the river. He runs after her at a gallop very close to the water’s edge, as if hoping to help his friend.

Fortunately, a young and strong zebra found the strength to overcome the current and get out on land in another place.

Her act showed that the herd and, all the more, the weak thin-legged calf would not be able to cope with such a transition, and the group found a new, more suitable place for a ford.
