Meet Kwek Yo Xuan, who was born last summer, and she only had a weight of an apple.

This baby girl is considered the smallest premature baby on Earth, weighing only 212 gr.

She was born at Singapore’s National University Hospital (NUH).

As the BBC states, she was born 4 months before her time: just at week 25 measuring almost 24 cm long.

As one of the nurses at NUH says, she has never seen such a tiny newborn before.

When she saw the baby for the first time, she got surprised so much.

Though she has been working as a nurse for 22 years, Kwek Yu Xuan was the first with such a tiny size.

Her parents and also the whole staff were trying their best to recover the baby.

So, after intensively treating the baby at the hospital for more than 13 months, they managed to “remake” a healthy and “weighty” baby.

Now she weighs 6.3 kg.

Recently, the cute baby girl has been delivered from the hospital.

She is the first newborn to survive a premature birth, though her such tiny sizes.

The duration of her treatment was so hard and special.

Her skin was so subtle that doctors could not attach probes to it.

Moreover, she was so tiny and light that the calculator didn’t measure her, as there was no such a small unit to weigh.

As the University of Iowa reports about the lightest newborn registered before her.

As it was said, it was an American girl who weighed 245 gr.
