Every year thousands of tourists travel to see these amazing creatures. It’s one thing to see them with a full stomach in a zoo and in their homeland – Africa.
Recently, a group of tourists experienced a thrilling and heart-thumping moment. The incident happened in Kenya, where a tourist from Ireland unexpectedly came across a wild cheetah.
Mickey McCaldin and other tourists were enjoying the beauty of the famous cheetah family without thinking that cheetahs may become curious about their guests.
These wonderful big cats got interested in people and instantly surrounded the vehicle with their glorious presence – at least for us. The tourists were really scared.
Even though cheetahs are elegant and pretty, they are still predators. One thing now the tourists could do was following the instructions of the guide – staying calm.
While the other members of the cheetah family were enjoying the ride on the roof of the vehicle, their sibling was curiously looking at the Irish man.
Obviously, the poor man was as scared as ever. His friend David Horsey caught his friend’s reaction on camera.
Horsey has lived his whole life in Kenya but never witnessed such a close sight of unexpected guests.
Thankfully, moments after the curios cheetah got bored and climbed down the vehicle. Now Mickey and the other tourists could finally breathe.
For sure they will never forget the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
