After searching, it was discovered that the sounds were made by a fox, which was completely alone in their area.
The family called the Arlington League for the Protection of Animals in Virginia, as a rule, specialists from the League are just involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals in trouble.
Some people assumed that a healthy animal simply would not come to a person with such a plaintive squeak.
But the employees refused to take the baby because he was full and looked pretty healthy. But touching him was wrong: the mom couldn’t recognize the baby smelling of a human.
It was decided to put the baby in a basket, from which the fox mom herself could pick him up. The family, worried about the fate of the baby and began to wait.
