The sculptural imprint of a baby elephant leaving his faceprint after falling asleep in the sand

Recently, the Chester Zoo in the UK posted a very natural and perfect imprint of a baby elephant sleeping on the sand. It was Anjan – a one-year-old elephant calf.

In the picture, you can obviously see his trunk and face printed on the sand.

After the photo was posted on Twitter, it immediately went viral. The photo has become so popular that many people asked to preserve the print forever. But it was too late because after taking some snaps, little calfs stepped on it.

It’s known that elephants can sleep on one side for hours. It was surprising for the zoo staff to see a perfect imprint that was not spoiled during the whole night. It seems Anjan had a very good and peaceful sleep.

Zoo employees quite often see footprints and other prints too but the perfect sculpture was very original and worthy to be shared.

Of course, the reaction of people says it all!

This is what sometimes happens with nature and its inhabitants!
